• Trend Micro Apex One is the anti-virus/Anti-spyware software deployed on all university-owned computers. • This tutorial outlines the steps for performing a scan of your computer for viruses and spyware using Trend Micro Apex One.
• In the Taskbar (bottom right of your screen), right-click on the Trend Micro icon. This is the blue circle with the white squiggly line through it.
• From the menu, select Open Security Agent Console.
• Select Scan • Choose which drive you want to scan by clicking the box and creating a check mark in it.
• Trend Micro will now scan the selected drive. • This could take some time depending on the amount of files on the drive.
• When completed you will see a prompt indicating so. • Click OK. • You can now close Trend Micro by selecting Exit.
