Updating Mac OSX on your Apple Computer

To Begin the Update Process on a Mac OXS:

Step 1: From the Home Screen of your MacBook (or maybe in your Launchpad) you will find the System Preferences App. 

Step 2: In System Preferences there will be a Software Update selection.

Step 3: Once in the Software Update, it will give the information about the newest update, and the option to "Upgrade Now" and download the software. 

Step 4: Some Software Updates do require a restart. This will be prompted.

Updating Your iPhone Software

To Begin the Update Process on an iPhone:

Step 1:  Find the Settings App on the home screen.

Step 2:  From there, select General.

Step 3: Once in General, select Software Update.

Step 4: You will not always receive the red Software Update notification (as shown in photo) but once you are in this menu it will search for updates for you.

Step 5: From there you will have the option to read more about what the update entails & download it.

Step 6: Some Software Updates do require a restart. This will be prompted.
