Introduction

This article will detail how to create a new department and how to add users within Screen.Cloud. A Team is a self-contained unit that allows users from a department or team to have access to the same content, screens, playlists, and schedules. Users may belong to only one team, and non-administrator users only have access to their own team.

If you are creating a new department, proceed below. If you are adding a user to an existing department, skip to "Adding a New User" below.

Adding a New Team (Department)

Adding a new department requires adding a new team within Screen.Cloud to organize the members of that department.

  1. Login to Screen.Cloud using an administrator account.
  2. In the bottom left, click on "St FX University".
  3. Click the "Users and Teams" tab.
  4. Click "More" > "Create Team"
  5. Click on the name of the New Team and rename it to the department.

Copying The Template Data to a New Team

Now, you'll need to copy the template data to the new team to give them a starting point with pre-configured apps and other content.

  1. Click "More" > "Copy Data Between Teams" 
  2. For "Copy From" select "Template Team"
  3. For "Copy To" select the name of the team you created above
  4. Click "Copy Data"
 It's important you only copy the data once. If this is done multiple times, it will create duplicates of the content equal to the number of times you copy the data; ie: if copy data between teams is done 4 times, you will have created 4 copies of the same content in the "Copy To" team.

Adding a New User

  1. Login to Screen.Cloud using an administrator account.
  2. In the bottom left, click on "St FX University".
  3. Click the "Users and Teams" tab.
  4. Click "Invite New User"
  5. Enter the email address of the user
  6. From the Teams dropdown, select the department/ group they belong to.
  7. Click Invite user
  8. The user will now receive an email which contains a link they need to click and set up their account.
