Changing your Default Microsoft 365 MFA Method

Summary

If you would like to change your default sign in method for your Microsoft 365 Multi-Factor account, this is the Knowledgebase for you.

Environment: Office365 Online in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox

Purpose: Instruction set for changing your default Multi-Factor Method to other methods you have previously configured for your Microsoft 365 account

Log in online to your Microsoft 365 Account at:

Click on your account profilethe picture you selected or your intials on the top right hand corner of the page, then click on "View account".

Click on the Security Info Tab on the left hand side of the page.

After completing any potential authentication process, click on the change button next to the Default sign-in method.
