Environment: Microsoft365 Online in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox
Purpose: Instruction set for changing your default Multi-Factor Authentication Method to other methods you have previously configured for your Microsoft365 account
Step 1
Log in online to your Microsoft 365 Account at:
microsoft365.stfx.ca
Step 2
Click on your account profile picture in the bottom left corner of the page, then click on "View account".
Step 3
Click on the Security Info Tab on the left hand side of the page.
Step 4
After completing any potential authentication process, click the Change button beside "Sign-in method when most advisable is unavailable" and then select the method you want from the drop down menu.
Note: If you do not already have the method added to your account that you would like to use, you will need to do that first.
