Purpose: Learn how to create essay or short answer questions using Kwe' (Moodle)'s question create tool
Procedure
Please go to Start here: Creating a Quiz and Question Bank before proceeding with learning how to construct a multiple choice question.
1. In the Question Bank, choose the correct category you'd like to add the question to and click Create a New Question:

2. A new window will open. Choose Essay and click Add:

3. A new page will open.
4. For the question name, you can add any name you would prefer. This does not appear to students.
5. Add the question. This can be a long, essay question OR a short answer question:

6. Change the default mark to reflect the sub category title. In this case it is 5 pts:

7. Scroll down and save. Remember that these types of questions require manual grading.
8. The question bank with your new questions will re-appear. Add more questions by repeating steps.
