Purpose: How to backup your device's data
There are two options to backup an iPhone, backing it up to iCloud or backing it up to iTunes.
iCloud Backup
Ensure your device is connected to WiFi
In
Settings
, tap the
Apple ID Banner
at the top
Tap
iCloud
Tap
iCloud Backup
(you will have to scroll down)
Turn on the
toggle switch
(green will be visible) and tap
OK
iTunes Backup
Open iTunes and connect your device to your computer via USB, you may need select to enter your device's PIN or click "OK" on a "Trust This Computer" pop up
Select your device on the left hand side
Click "Back Up Now"
You should now see "Latest Backups" read the time and date you completed the backup
