Environment: Devices using Microsoft applications that has Copilot features
Purpose: Enabling/Disabling Copilot services on Microsoft applications
Note: Disabling/enabling Copilot is not an option for browser versions of Microsoft applications or mobile apps. Copilot can only be enabled/disabled on installed PC Microsoft applications.
What is Copilot?
Microsoft Copilot (or just Copilot) is a generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot developed by Microsoft. According to the Microsoft website: "Copilot is a conversational, AI-powered assistant that helps boost productivity and streamline workflows by offering contextual assistance, automating routine tasks, and analyzing data."
Copilot is now built into Microsoft 365 applications to assist with tasks such as drafting documents, analyzing data, and managing projects.
Enabling/Disabling Copilot for Outlook
The steps for enabling/disabling Microsoft Copilot is different for Windows and Apple devices. Please follow the correct guide to enable/disable Microsoft Copilot for Outlook
Windows Devices:
Step 1
Go open Outlook and open the settings page.

Step 2
Select 'Copilot' tab on the left-hand side and toggle on/off Copilot

If you cannot find the 'Copilot' tab in your settings, please check which version of the app you are using and update to the most recent version.
Apple Devices:
Step 1
Open Outlook and from the 'Outlook' tab in the top left corner, open up 'Settings'

Step 2
In the settings, find and click on 'Copilot'

Step 3
Toggle on or off Copilot

Enabling/Disabling Copilot for Teams
The steps for enabling/disabling Microsoft Copilot in Teams is the same on Windows and Apple devices.
Step 1
Open Teams and find 'Copilot' in the left-hand tab
Step 2
Right click on 'Copilot' on the left-hand side of the main Teams screen and click 'Uninstall'
