Create a Microsoft Team

What is Teams? 

Teams, is a unified communication and collaboration platform that combines persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage (including collaboration on files), and application integration.   All members of the StFX community have the ability to create team spaces.

To build a team:

  1. Open the Teams app

  2. First, click the Teams Teams button button on the left side of the app, then click Join or create a team Add people to team button at the top of your teams list.

  3. Then click Create team Add people to team button (first card, top right corner).

  4. Choose From template > Other > Use this template.

  5. Next, you’ll want to choose what kind of team you want this to be:

    To limit content and conversation to a specific set of people, choose Private.

    For a community or topic that anyone in the organization can join, choose Public.

  6. Name your team and add an optional description.

  7. When you're done, click Create.
