Environment: Systems with the office365 applications installed and files are opening in read-only mode in MS365 applications
Purpose: To resolve Microsoft 365 Application activation errors
All active students, staff and faculty have the ability to download and use the MS 365 local applications. Due to restrictions in the Microsoft Educational licensing Operational, affiliates, and retirees are not eligible.
Solution:
1. Sign out of office applications and quit all open office apps.
2. Remove any Microsoft Office and adfs credentials stored in Keychain (Mac) or Credential Manager (Windows).
3. Make sure to match your Time Zone to your current location for Accurate Time Representation.
4. Launch an Office application, sign in using your full stfx email and password.
