Purpose: A guide on how to turn off the voice-activated captions appearing on PowerPoint presentations while in presenters view
Environment: Anyone using Microsoft PowerPoint
PowerPoint Online
- When in presenters view, voice activated closed captions may begin to automatically display on the screen
- To remove these captions you have a couple of options:
- You can use the tool bar at the bottom of the presentation (while in presenters view) and select the closed captions icon
- You can use the shortcut ctrl J (for windows) or cmd J (for mac) on your keyboard
PowerPoint App
- When on the PowerPoint app, while in presenters view, click the closed caption icon on the tool bar at the bottom of the screen
