Making Courses Visible or Hidden to Students

Purpose:  Learn how to show courses in Moodle to students. 

By default, your Moodle courses are not available to students. This is so students do not enter or view a course before it has been fully created by the instructor.

Any bold/blue course links on our course overview are visible to students, and any links that are grey are hidden from students.

1. Log into Moodle using your webFX username and password.

Navigate to in your web browser.
Log in using webFX Credentials

2. The first page that opens after logging into the system is your 'My courses'. This is a list of all the courses you are enrolled in as an instructor or as a student.

3. Select the course you would like to make available to students from this list. Grey course links are currently hidden from students.

4.  Click the gear in the top right corner of the page and choose "Edit Settings" on the left side of the page to customize the settings for the course you are currently viewing.

5. Under "Visible", change from "Hide" to "Show". To hide a course, change from "Visible" to "Hide".

6. At the bottom of the page, click "Save Changes"
Once the changes have been saved, students who are enrolled will be able to access your course if the course is visible.
