Environment: Banner Admin Forms in Banner 9
Purpose: Resolve common Banner Admin Forms issues
Introduction
This article details common issues encountered when trying to login, access, and use Banner 9.
When using a Banner Admin Forms through a bookmark/ favourite, the page does not load.
Cause: As part of the Banner 9 upgrade, your bookmarks may need to be updated.
Resolution:
- In your browser, delete your old bookmark for Banner Admin Forms.
- Now go to portal.stfx.ca
- Once the page completed loading, add a new bookmark.
Banner Admin Forms doesn't load, or behaves erratically in Internet Explorer
Cause: Banner 9 does not support Internet Explorer.
Resolution:
- Use a modern browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.
Unable to Use Copy and Paste Functions
Cause: In Banner 9, the copy and paste buttons in the application interface have been replaced with using the common keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste.
Resolution:
- Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+c (for copy) and Ctrl+v (for paste).
