Exporting Your FortiClient Logs

 

Introduction

In order to troubleshoot issues relating to VPN connectivity, IT Services may ask you to export and send your Forticlient logs. This article details how to export your logs and provide them to IT Services.

How to Export Your Fortclient Logs

  1. Open FortiClient
  2. Click File > Settings
  3. Under the "Logging" heading, click "Export Logs"
  4. Choose a convenient location to save the file, such as the Desktop, and enter a descriptive file name that includes the date.

To provide your logs to IT Services, attach them to an email (for example when replying to a ticket).
