Adding the Accessibility Checker to your Moodle Course

Environment: StFX's Learning Management System Moodle. Available at moodle.stfx.ca

Purpose: Adding the Brickfield Labs Accessibility Checker to Moodle courses.

1. Go to the course that you would like to add the accessibility checker to and Turn Editing On.

2. Under the left-hand menu, click 'Add a Block'.

3. A pop-up will appear. Choose Accessibility Review. Note that if this option does not appear, it means that the block has already been added to your course.

4. Once the block has been added, it will appear along the right menu of your Moodle page when editing is turned on. Please note that you may have to scroll down to find the Accessibility Review Block.

5. To review your course, click "Submit for Analysis." Note that this analysis may take up to 30 minutes to complete. Refresh your course page to check if the process has been completed.

6. After the course has been analyzed, a breakdown of improvements will appear. Click the bar graph button to view errors and suggestions on how to improve your course materials. The eye button allows you to toggle on and off errors on your Moodle page, making it easier to fix any problems.
