Now that you have set-up your categories, you are ready to make questions in Moodle. This process requires you to add one question at a time.
1. Under Edit Settings, click More:
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Under Question Bank, choose Questions:
3. The question bank will appear. Here, you can choose under "Select a Category" where you want your question to go. If you would like to create categories, go here.
4. Click Create a new question:
4. A new window will open. For this example, we will choose Multiple choice and click Add:
5. A new page will open. Under "Category" you can change the category the question is in (click here to learn more about categories). "Question name" refers to the question subject. "Question" refers to the question. Remember to add the default mark. In most cases, it is "1". You can also choose to add feedback, and shuffle the choices:
6. By default, there are 5 choices to choose from. Leave any choices blank if you choose to have less than 5 choices. In the text box, type the answer. Under "Grade" you can add 100% for the correct answer, and "None" for the wrong answer. Additionally, you can give wrong answers negative marks. After completing this, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save changes".
7. The question bank with your new questions will re-appear. You can now choose to "Create a new question". Additionally, you can move the question that was created to a new category.
8. To create a quiz, go here. Under step 9, instead of creating a new question, choose a question from the question bank.
