What do I need to submit a new project request?

  • Business justification: It helps us to prioritize appropriately if we know:
    • Why is it important for this project to be completed?
    • What is the impact of not completing this project?
  • Privacy impact assessment (PIA): If data will be processed or stored outside of Canada, a PIA is required. You can make a copy of this PIA form.
  • Funding details: Is there a budget for this project, and how much?
  • Desired completion date: We cannot guarantee a desired completion date but it does help us to know of any hard deadlines that may impact the potential project. 

When will work begin on my project?

Submitting a request does not ensure that ITS will have adequate staffing resources to complete the project. Project requests are evaluated on a weekly basis and you will be notified in a timely manner about the status if your request. Please see the Portfolio & Project Management Knowledge Base article on the intake process for further details.
