Test Submission

What is this service?

IT Services offers a test correction service for StFX Faculty.  The cost of scanning is $15 for quizzes under 100 submissions and an extra $5 for each additional 100.

Why is it useful?

Test Correction is a billable service offered by IT Services.   Tests are Optical mark recognition (also called optical mark reading and OMR)  the process of capturing human-marked data from document forms such as surveys and tests.  OMR allows faculty to have their quizzes, midterms and/or exams marked electronically rather than via a manual process.  The Remark software is used to provide a comprehensive result package delivered in excel format. 

Note - If combining multiple versions only a single report PDF can be produced.

  1. Scan of test Under 100 cards  $15
  2. Each additional 100 cards per test $15

Why is it useful?

Test Correction allows for quick turn-around for test corrections by reducing effort, and reducing or eliminating errors and the time required to mark.  Test results are emailed back to professors and cards are returned.

How do I access this service?

Complete the request form found at the Test Submission button to the top right of this page.  Once the request is submitted the requester will receive an email with a link to book an appointment to drop off quiz/exam at the IT Services Help Desk.  Drop off your quiz/exam with a completed answer key to the IT Services Help Desk entrance at the Angus L Macdonald Library at booked appointment time.
