Read and Write Gold is a text-to-speech program that provides visual and auditory feedback of text. Read and Write has proven to be beneficial for people with learning difficulties, dyslexia or visual impairments, English Language Learners (ELL) and those learning English as a Second Language (ESL). Read&Write has many useful functions, such as clarifying texts by segmenting and highlighting words, and using an advanced spell check that works on phonetics.
StFX currently holds a license for Faculty, Staff, and Student users. This license works for StFX issued machines, as well as personally owned ones.
