Evergreen Assessment

What is this service?

To determine the eligibility of systems for the St.FX computer hardware evergreen program. The evergreen program provides a computer for each faculty and staff where required; this service is to accommodate other use cases such as shared workstations or 'service' computers in common areas. This service is used to request approval to move existing systems to the evergreen program or to request that new systems be added.

Why is it useful?

To renew service and department lab computers previously included in the Evergreen program that have aged beyond the 5 year retention or to have an existing service/department lab computer included in the program.  The Evergreen Program operates under a central funding envelope and systems adhere to a five-year refresh cycle to ensure access to current technology and greatly improve information and technology security. This service will facilitate adding systems to the evergreen program that have not yet been assessed.

How do I access this service?

Click "Request Assessment" to the right to request a system be included in the Evergreen program.
