What is this service?
Email at StFX is provided to students, faculty, and staff by M365, Microsoft's cloud-based productivity, and collaboration platform. Accounts are allotted 50GB of cloud base storage. Email address are based on your StFX username. If a generic mailbox is required you can view shared mailboxes.
Why is it useful?
Email via M365 allows users to securely send and receive email messages from any computer with an Internet connection.
With your StFX Microsoft 365 account, you also get:
- The ability to download the full Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Access to mobile apps for email, calendar, and more
- 50 GB of cloud-based email storage
Using Outlook ensures you get the most out of your StFX email, including features like calendar syncing, Teams integration, and cloud file access.
How do I access this service?
You can access your StFX email on a computers and or mobile devices through an email client app or the web.

IT Services recommends using the Outlook app, as it offers the best experience and full integration with Microsoft 365 tools. M365 Email does require multifactor for off campus access so remember to have your MFA device handy.
