What is this service?
StFX provides faculty and staff access to a fleet of sixty-six enterprise-class multifunction devices located in key areas on campus. Faculty and staff can print directly to a device (unsecured printing) or can print to a Virtual Queue (PrintFX) and release their jobs at the nearest device. Printing charges are automatically billed to your department; your department manager will receive a monthly statement with your usage.
Why is it useful?
These units provide print, scan and copy services. Faculty and staff can connect to the devices using their own computers, or by through lab systems.
How do I access this service?
Faculty and staff access printing services by logging into devices using their StFX username and password, configuring their personal devices for printing, or by accessing through a WebFX lab machine.
Faculty and staff devices are identified on campus with an orange "Hello my name is .." tag.
