What is this service?
Office 365 is Microsoft's cloud-based subscription which provides users with plenty of features, such as access to both local and online versions of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Other services include online storage via OneDrive, messaging and conferencing via Skype for Business, and the ability to collaborate on projects in real time via SharePoint.
Why is it useful?
Office 365 has many useful features. Below is a list of features provided by an Office 365 subscription:
- Faculty and Staff requiring Office products for positions have free access to the latest versions of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote on up to fifteen devices (includes both Windows and macOS computers, tablets and smartphones).

- Secure cloud-based email storage of 50GB (Gigabytes) per user – roughly 20,000 image-rich emails, or over 1 million text-only emails.

Visit office365.stfx.ca, and log in with your StFX email address (username@stfx.ca) and password.
