Managing Security information for MyPassword and Microsoft 365 MFA

Environment: Connected to the Internet and on the mypassword.stfx.ca page
Purpose: Set or add recovery information to your office account
Add a method
Go to mypassword.stfx.ca
Choose the third option, Update Information
Log in using your StFX credentials
In your account settings
Select Security Info
A code will be sent to your current default contact method, enter this code.
Add method
To add a new contact method select the add method button.
Choose the method you'd like to add from the dropdown. ( Steps to add an Authenticator app method can be found
here
)
Enter your information for your preferred contact method. ( Phone call method pictured, you can choose to be contacted by text or call by selecting 'Text me' or 'Call me'.)
If you've chosen 'Text me' or added an email you will receive a code to enter.
If you added a phone to call you will receive a call and be directed to press pound to confirm.
If you've chosen this method, make sure you are nearby the phone added.
Remove a method
In the Security Info page, click the 'Delete' in line with the contact method you'd like to remove.
Click OK
Edit a method
In the Security Info page, click the 'Edit' in line with the contact method you'd like to edit.
Enter the new info, and confirm it as you would when adding a method.
