What is this service?
With Remote Desktop software, users can have access to another computer from a remote location. For example, this means that a connection can be made from a webFX classroom to an office computer. All applications, files, and network resources are therefore accessible as though working from the office. When connected, the office computer is locked and will remain so until unlocked. Remote Desktop Connection can be combined with VPN services off campus to securely access computers on-campus.
Why is it useful?
Remote Desktop allows users to access another computer to open its files and applications, as well as make changes and updates to the computer's configuration.
